Montessori Toddler Language Skills
Children are born with this wonderful ability to absorb language. Babies are born, unable to say a single word. However, by the time they reach 3 years old, children can speak sentences. Really, this is such an amazing accomplishment!
Dr. Montessori explained that children’s minds absorb information like a sponge. Language is one of those things they absorb without much effort. Also, it is important to note, that children have a sensitive period for language from birth to about 6 years old, reaching a peak between 2-3 years old. As caregivers, there are many things we can do to support our children as they work on acquiring their language skills.
To help you on your language journey, I have been working long and happy hours, with my dear blogging friends Amruta from Mumma Diaries, Isabel from Uno Zwei Tutu, and Yuliya from Welcome to Mommyhood on our newest project!
