Hello to my friends and visitors,
Thank you for your visit to Mama’s Happy Hive and your desire to learn more about me – the queen bee. 😉 I’m Vanessa and I am happily married to the man of my dreams. If you enjoy a good love story and want to know how this Queen Bee met her tall dark and handsome hunk, please read our sticky sweet love story linked below. I have one child who is the “star” of my blog and I refer to him as, Little Bee.
My occupational background is a Pediatric nurse (RN, BSN) for 13 years and I am currently employed as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Although, I consider my full-time job to be a stay-at-home-mom to my active toddler.
I created Mama’s Happy Hive blog as a way to express my creative side and connect with other stay-at-home-moms through the blogging community. Plus, I love having an organized simple home, living a natural healthy life, praising God, and sharing playful learning ideas for children. I write about all these topics here in our hive!
I plan to homeschool my child with a combination of hands-on learning philosophies and Montessori inspired education. On MHH blog, I enjoy sharing our learn and play activities that we have done each week in a photo journal. I take great joy in watching my child discover the beauty of the natural world all around him and truly find this to be the most delightful journey I have ever taken.
Some people have visited my blog and wondered why I put so much emphasis on my child. For awhile, I tried to write my blog in a way that was more generic with less emphasis on Little Bee. This took the joy out of blogging for me and I reverted back to writing about my observations of Little Bee’s love of learning. I guess the only thing I can say is, I’m in love with my child and it shows. I hope every parent can love their child as much as I love my Little Bee! I also hope that you will find inspiration from our story to enjoy learning and playing with your own children.
